More banks raise home loan rates
Two more banks have raised variable home loan rates, after ASB Bank broke ranks to pass on the Reserve Bank’s higher OCR rate to customers last week. ANZ and National Bank have lifted their mortgage and savings account rates to match the 25 basis point rise in OCR to 2.75% just over a week ago – the first rise in the OCR since July 2007.
